🧠 Stop following the script with AI

Framework to bulletproof online brand

Hello from the heights!

It’s Luke Skyward, The AI Synthesizer!

Most of the people follow the same script:

  • Go to school

  • Get a degree

  • Get a job (that often is repetitive and boring)

  • Retire at 65

This is the default path that you’re at if you didn’t make a conscious decision to go Unscripted. And this is the path I’ve been at.

Don’t get me wrong - I like my current job, but I’d like to control how much money I can earn long-term. This is something you don’t get when working 9-5.

And that’s why last year I decided to start transitioning into an online one-person business. There’s one super important when being on this path - you need to learn from people who are smarter than you.

In my opinion, (good) books are the best way to learn from incredibly smart people. MJ DeMarco is one of them. Recently, I read his book Unscripted and I’d like to share the biggest takeaway I got from it to speed up your journey if you want to join me 😉.

So today, I’ll:

  • Talk about C.E.N.T.S framework for creating a bulletproof online brand

  • Share an actionable protocol for creating a brand that follows this framework

  • Share a Megaprompt for speeding up the process of making a brand that follows the C.E.N.T.S framework.

Ready to join me on the journey? Strap in and let’s launch into the knowledge cosmos!

Understanding the C.E.N.T.S framework

Before diving into the practical protocol, let's briefly decode what each letter in the C.E.N.T.S framework stands for and how it contributes to building a successful business:

  • C for Control: This principle emphasizes the importance of having control over your business and not being at the mercy of external entities, such as platforms or suppliers (e.g. social media platforms).

  • E for Entry: It's about the barriers to entry in your business. High entry barriers can deter competitors and give your brand a unique edge.

  • N for Need: This element focuses on fulfilling a genuine need in the market, ensuring that your product or service is solving real problems or catering to strong desires.

  • T for Time: This principle advocates for creating a business model where your income is not directly tied to your time, allowing you to earn passively.

  • S for Scale: It involves the ability to expand and grow your business beyond its initial scope, reaching a wider audience and increasing profitability.

Applying the C.E.N.T.S framework helps in building a business that's not only financially successful but also autonomous, resilient, and aligned with your personal values and goals.

A Practical Protocol Using the C.E.N.T.S Framework

Before diving into the Megaprompt, I’d like to show you a protocol for evaluating if your brand follows the C.E.N.T.S framework.

Step 1: Establishing Control

  • Task: List all external factors impacting your business (e.g., platform dependencies, supplier constraints).

  • Action: Develop strategies to mitigate these dependencies. This could involve diversifying income streams, creating direct sales channels, or seeking multiple suppliers.

  • Goal: Achieve a level of operational independence where no single external factor can significantly disrupt your business.

Step 2: Assessing Entry Barriers

  • Task: Identify the barriers to entry for your business.

  • Action: Strengthen these barriers through innovation, securing intellectual property, or enhancing unique selling propositions (USPs).

  • Goal: Create a business model that is challenging for competitors to replicate, ensuring a competitive edge in your market.

Step 3: Aligning with Market Needs

  • Task: Conduct a thorough need analysis of your target market.

  • Action: Utilize surveys, market research, and customer feedback to understand and address the specific needs or problems your business can solve.

  • Goal: Align your product or service more closely with market demands, ensuring relevancy and increased demand.

Step 4: Decoupling Time from Income

  • Task: Analyze how your business income is tied to your personal time.

  • Action: Implement systems, automation, or delegate tasks to ensure your business can operate and grow without your constant involvement.

  • Goal: Create a business model that generates income independently of your direct time input, moving towards passive income.

Step 5: Planning for Scalability

  • Task: Evaluate your current business scale and potential for growth.

  • Action: Explore new markets, online platforms, and scaling strategies that can increase your customer base and market reach.

  • Goal: Expand your business to serve a larger audience, enhancing revenue potential and market presence.
