Mindset - Do This to Achieve 10x More
Don't skip this part or you'll fail
I've always disregarded the power of the right mindset and habits.
I thought it was better to be doing than thinking too much.
But it was leading me in the wrong direction.
I thought I was doing but all I did was stall.
So I made a change.
What's the change?
I set quarterly goals. Each quarter, I'm trying to improve my process and how I approach my goals. It allows me to reflect on the direction that I'm going and correct the course if needed.
I already did 4 iterations of this - several things worked well, some did not.
I've collected the things that work well, and I can say - this is the 80-20 that can make you achieve 10x more:
Understanding your why. Content is the future. By building and sharing in public you're gaining exposure, documenting your journey, and setting yourself up for future success.
Understand the season of your life. Finish this sentence: "This is the season of ...". My answer is: Building AI projects and becoming an AI expert! Answering this question will set your priorities straight.
Identify your essential task. This is the task that moves the needle for you. Think what would you do if you could work only 2 hours a day.
Do the essential task early on. You might think you're a night owl - so did I. It made me procrastinate till it was late because I thought I'm more effective during the night. But it made me feel tired all the time. Was it effective - 100% not. Right now I go to sleep early and wake up at 6:45 to do 2 hours of deep work before my 9-5. After 5 PM I don't force on myself anything work-related.
Reduce your phone usage. When you work - WORK. Don't keep your phone around your desk, don't check it, and disable notifications.
I applied these over the course of the last year - it made me a different person.
