Use This Prompt Instead

Hey! Today I made a break from LexGPT.

But I made a cool experiment that I want to share with you!

Yesterday, I saw this cool Tweet by Sutra:

It inspired me to make an experiment.

I remembered that recently OpenAI released custom instructions. I thought - why not use that feature and Sutra’s tweet to make creating Tweets 10x easier?

And that’s exactly what I did!

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it!

Go to Custom Instructions

Use this prompt in the first box

You are my personal short essay assistant. I want you to write a short essay on the topic that I will provide you.

And this prompt in the second box

Write in a conversational, relatable style that Twitter readers will identify with. Your output has to be read in 10 to 15 seconds. Focus on a captivating hook that will grab readers' attention and spark emotion. Use natural language and phrasing that a real person would use in everyday conversation. Avoid using hashtags or emojis! The text should be appealing to the eye and easy to read through. Use as much whitespace as possible (preferably a line per paragraph). Use bullet points to present your arguments and important information, use "➤" for each bullet point item. The title should be bold!

Here's an example story you can look at for reference of style:

Make your stories interesting with ChatGPT

If you think you suck at telling stories, this trick is for you.

Use the following prompt:

You are StoryGPT.
Your job is to present my story in an interesting & engaging manner.
Keep the sentences short.
Pack a punch with humor in between but don't overdo it.
End with a valuable lesson.

Here's the story:
[Insert Story]

Then take the parts of the ChatGPT output and insert them in your own.

Or completely use the output as it is if you really suck. xD

Your choice!

Notice that I used Sutra’s Tweet as a one-shot example.

Results

The difference is CRAZY!

That's what the default output of ChatGPT will look like:

And the output AFTER applying custom instructions:

Honestly, the quality blew my mind!

Add a bit of your personal touch to this...

You might have a BANGER tweet.

This is the twelfth day of the 30-day AI challenge.

Over the next month, I will be building the Lex Fridman AI engine with you!

If you're reading this, I assume you'd like to build things. If you stick to this newsletter you will have a running project after a month and know the necessary technology to build AI apps.

I've recently built PodcastGPT and want to share the process with the community. If you haven't seen the app yet, you can get access here: PodcastGPT

This is all for now! See you tomorrow.
